Board Exams for Class 10 and 12 have been Cancelled amid Pandemic - CBSE to SC

A plea to the Supreme Court was filed by some parents who opposed the idea of holding examinations in July amid the pandemic situation. The Central Board of Secondary Education has decided to cancel the exams of Class 10 and 12 scheduled from July 1 to 15. For class X it is scrapped while for Class XII option of appearing in exam provided as and when conditions conducive.

CBSE will conduct examinations when conditions are conducive. a scheme has been set up where students will be assessed on the basis of the last 3 exams. Students will have the option to opt for exam to be conducted later.

The ICSE exams will also be canceled following the suit of CBSE

The bench has adjourned the hearing till tomorrow after directing the CBSE to bring out a fresh notification specifying the issues of option between internal assessment and exam and clarifying the date of results. The CISCE has also to submit fresh draft notification and affidavit

No student will miss on entrance exams. The results of the assessment will be out by July 15.
