An order has been released by the Government of NCT directing strict penal action against landlords forcing doctors, paramedics & healthcare personnel to vacate their rented residences amid the Coronavirus pandemic.
Several complaints have been lodged from doctors and and healthcare personnel across Delhi alleging harassment vis-à-vis eviction from their temporary residences warranted this strict action. In various platforms several grievances by doctors have sprung up. In light of this, the Resident Doctors' Association, AIIMS, Delhi wrote a letter to the Union Home Minister highlighting their concerns.
Thus, the Health & Family Welfare Department issued the order directing strict penal action in the matter.
